The Riviera Country Club has played host to the world’s greatest golfers and most prestigious golf tournaments. Our storied history includes the 1948 US Open, the 1983 and 1995 PGA Championships, the 1998 US Senior Open and the 2017 US Amateur. In the coming decade, the club will write a new chapter in that book having been selected as the site of the 2028 Olympic Games golf event. In addition to our major championship history, Riviera has long been considered the club that Hollywood calls home. During the golden age of Hollywood our membership included silver screen legends Charlie Chaplin, Mary Pickford, Walt Disney, Howard Hughes, Humphrey Bogart and many more. That tradition continues to this day.
The Riviera Country Club has been honored with a Platinum Club of the World distinction - it’s the pinnacle of recognition for a very limited number of private clubs around the world. It has been further designated a Distinguished Club of the World with Iconic Status, a rare recognition given only to clubs that have been founded over 75 years ago and have hosted a major championship. Our team’s commitment to excellence in hospitality can be seen in everything we do for our members and guests down to the finest details. Our mission since the club’s founding has been simple, “Only the best is good enough.” That pledge lives on today.
Very few private clubs can boast the level of culinary excellence found at The Riviera Country Club. Our talented team hails from Michelin Star restaurants and Forbes 5-Star kitchens. In addition, celebrity guest chefs often grace our dining rooms, providing members and guests with one of a kind experiences.
